Known Werewolf Tribes of Shudderwood
While over a dozen distinct werewolf packs live within the Shudderwood, most packs trace their lineages to one of five tribes native to the region, which are described below. Most of these tribes have two names: that which they call themselves, and a more common epithet by which most outsiders know them.
5 Major tribes
Kamalia Channing or Broken Ones
These lycanthropes settle in remote or isolated territories, building small provincial communities near the wood’s edge. For the most part, they pose as simple farmers or trappers, occasionally traveling to larger communities to sell or trade for goods. They live and hunt in small packs, targeting lone travelers or those who stray from larger groups. Physically smaller than the other tribes, the Broken Ones transform into red wolves. Their pack structure is matriarchal, and their current tribe leader is the druid Kamalia Channing . The broken ones inhabit the northern most tedge of Shudderwood. There numbers are around 150 when united. Most of the broken ones are druids of the green faith, or memebers of the druids cabal in Lepidstadt. The broken ones use the forest to there advantage manipulating it or trapping foes with traps. The broken ones are well lnow to force or lead pursuers into traps.

Forcefully pushing out other tribes, rhe demon wolves now control the centeral most densest part of Shudderwood. They number around 200 werewolves. The demon werewolves lack mercy or compassion, and kill for fun and pleassure. The Jezelda target those who wear open religious symbols or radiate auras of good. The Jezelda use the powers given to them by their deity and cause afflictions or curses on tjose that oppose them. As such they enjoy to plague their victims with diseases before consumming them.
Jezelda (pronounced jeh-ZEL-dah) is the shape-shifting demon lord of werewolves and mistress of the moon.
Jezelda plays an important role in the history of Golarion, because she is believed by many to be the first lycanthrope who spread the disease to all who now suffer from it. If this is true, then she has placed a huge blight upon the people of the world, but strangely her cultists do not boast of this, instead staying ominously silent on the rumours of their patroness’ origins.
Jezelda dwells in the Abyssal realm called the Moonbog.
A Jezelda, like the werewolf, can assume three forms. The first is a human form, that of a beautiful, pale Varisian women with long, flowing ebony hair. The second is that of an enormous, slavering wolf with huge fangs dripping saliva and horrible yellow eyes. Jezelda’s third and favourite form is a horrible hybrid of the two, half wolf and half woman; in this form she looks starved and skinny, hungry for fresh meat. Jezeldas have fiendish blood running through their viens giving them a demonic look and features.
Cult & Worshipers
Jezelda is worshiped solely by werewolves, for she sees all other humanoid as just prey. Here worship is most prevalent in areas with large werewolf populations, in particular the Darkmoon Vale in northern Andoran and the haunted forests of Ustalav, particular the county of Lozeri. Non-werewolf lycanthropes are despised by Jezelda and her cultists are charged with hunting and killing them. Good-aligned lycanthropes are an abomination and, thus, a particularly favoured sacrifice.
Mordrinacht or Silverhides
The Mordrinacht, colloquially known as the Silverhides for their gray-white fur, are more aggressive than the Broken Ones, yet possess more composure and subtlety than the other tribes. They are know to be the friendliest of all the tribew. The Mordrinacht rarely form standard packs, instead living much of their lives as solitary individuals or lone wolves. Only in times of great importance do they unite and form organized packs.
More so than all the others, the Mordrinacht have been successful at blending in with normal humans and living secretly within their communities, with a few bold individuals even settling in some of Ustalav’s major cities. Descended from those afflicted with lycanthropy by the ancient high priest of Desna, the Mordrinacht have long gathered at the Stairs of the Moon to pay homage to the spirit of their ancestor, the vilkacis. It is no secret that the Silverhides’ current leader, Mathus Mordrinacht, has had designs on the position of packlord over all the packs of the Shudderwood for some time. Mordrinacht has been playing second fiddle for Kvalca Sain, for a long time.
Mordrinacht has a devious mind and is a well versed wizard. Due to his strength not being physical, instead his ability to manipulate Mordrinacht was never physically capable of standing against Kvalca Sain, in contest without risking certain death. The Silverhides are the largest tribe and number around 350 werewolves. Most of the other tribes are unaware of there true strength due to the soliadirity they pursue. However in the stairwell to the moon the Silverhides have a firey blue beacon, once ignited the tribe will band and seve the current pack leader without question. The silver hides control the south west and entire east of Shudderwood.
Until recently, the The Silverhides tribe leader, Kvalca Sain, was packlord over all the wolves of the Shudderwood. Her recent assassination at the hands of Mathus Mordrinacht and the Whispering Way has thrown all of the tribes of the Shudderwood into disarray, not just the Silverhides themselves.
The Silverhides attack individually, preferring there own strength and fighting individually. There have highly attuned senses and are natural effective at detecting enemies. Many of the Silverhides can use a little bit of magic which helps them survive denizens of the wood. The silverhides like to openly challenge there enemies to duels or fights, often revealing themselves or goading people to fight them.

The Prince’s Wolves transform into wolves with snow white fur, and their current tribe leader is a roguish scoundrel named Rhakis Szadro. Being a crime family the prince wolves hunt in packs. When a pack is lost the rest of the clan will ruthlessly hunt down the purportraitors. The Prince wolves are very territorial aginst incursion into their packs lands. Because they survive off pilfering, they control the westwood and edge wood of Shudderwood, closest to Lepidstadt. Tbey also have agents infiltrate cities and towns nearby Shudderwood to alert them of trade wagons carting priceless goods. It is believed the princewolves den in clattered in gold and jewels they have stolen over almost 500 yeasrs. At present, less than 50 Vollensag remain, settled deep in the woods and traveling in small migratory hunting packs, living as much as their ancestors did.
Despite their declining numbers, the Primals’ ability to transform into large gray dire wolves makes them an influential force among the wolves of the wood. The Primals hold onto traditional beliefs of only afflicting those who wish to be chossen. This is also known as the choosing. The Primals are nomadic and do not inhabit any particular section of shudderwood. Other tribes beside the demon wolves allow them to pass without confrontation and unchallenged, due to the shear power the Primals have. It is still unkown how Kvalca Sain managed to best the last primal leader of the wood for title of packmaster of all shudderwood, as only packleaders are privy to the duel, but what is know is Vollensag is eager to make a name for himself. The Primals rarely stray far from there tribe.
The primals come in force and use brute strength. They use there brutish strength and size to knock enemies over leaving the mutts (smaller wolves) to kill those who loose their footing.
